Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, also known as reduction mammaplasty, is a procedure to remove some of the tissues and skin from the breasts in order to reduce its size, weight, firmness and the shape.

Excessively large and heavy breasts, particularly when they are out of proportion to height and weight, may cause emotional distress and physical problems can restrict a woman’s ability to live a healthy life.

Young women with extraordinary large breasts may especially feel embarrassed while wearing swimsuits due to undue attention on their chest.

Breast reduction surgery can makes the breasts smaller, lighter and firmer and evenly proportioned.

To remove excessive tissue and skin from the breast, the surgeon makes one or more cuts in the breast and then stitches the skin up. The stitches are usually removed after a couple of weeks.
